Album "Maryborough, Queensland — seen through a monochrome lens"

The Sentinel of Maryborough

Description

I have always felt that the heart of Maryborough resides in its heritage architecture, and the City Hall stands as its most dignified observer. In this monochromatic study, I focused on the way the afternoon light carves out the deep textures of the brickwork and the reaching clock tower, creating a narrative of enduring strength. By leaning into a high-contrast 'Noir' style, I wanted to capture the quiet, stately feeling of the building as it watches over our streets—a silent sentinel caught between the shadows of the local trees and the vast Queensland sky.
