Based in Maryborough, Queensland, I have been exploring the world through a lens since receiving my first camera at age 12. Today, much of my work is captured while travelling Australia in my motorhome, seeking out the quiet stories and hidden histories of the road. I specialize in high-contrast monochrome photography that explores the character of the natural and built world. Drawn to heritage architecture, pioneer landscapes, native birds, and rugged coastlines, I look for moments when light and shadow reveal the emotional narrative of a place. Black and white allows me to strip away distraction-letting a pier's receding lines, a bird's poised stillness, or the weathered timber of a working rural property speak powerfully through tone and form. For over a decade, I have shared this journey through my Facebook page, Monochrome Pics--a long-running daily exploration dedicated to finding enduring beauty and human connection in the extraordinary details of ordinary places. My dedication to the craft has been recognized internationally, most notably through my selection as the Featured Photographer in Photography Masterclass Magazine, which included a dedicated cover-feature interview exploring my monochrome works of fine art in Issue 165. In addition to this milestone, I have been awarded the title of Master of Excellence of Photography by the international NOIR Club for my visual storytelling. While these accolades are a deeply humbling validation of my technical and creative approach, my primary focus remains unchanged: capturing the timeless resonance of the world around us.
