I found this lone tree standing defiant in a harvested wheat field. The stark contrast between the intricate textures of the grain stubble and the heavy, brooding sky immediately suggested a monochrome treatment. I used my saturation boost technique during the initial RAW edit to ensure I could separate the silvery light on the leaves from the deep tones of the clouds.
