The Nomadic Life: Free Camping at Tarcutta Sportsground

There’s a unique kind of peace that comes with pulling into a spot like the Tarcutta Sportsground during our travels. I’ve spent over 60 years behind a lens, but capturing the life we’ve built on the road—our Jayco motorhome and the Suzuki we tow behind us—never gets old.

To achieve this high-contrast 'Noir' look, I used my preferred technique of boosting saturation and vibrance on the original color file before converting to monochrome; it’s essential for creating those deep, dramatic skies and defining the textures of the grass. For me, this image isn't just a landscape; it’s a record of the freedom and relaxation I find in the process of photography while exploring Australia.
