The Promise of Green

Most people wait for the bougainvillea to erupt in its famous, vibrant colours before they reach for their camera. But in the garden at RV Homebase, I find myself drawn to this quieter moment: the raw energy of new growth.

By stripping away the expectation of color and using a very narrow depth of field—stacking only the first three frames of my bracket—I wanted to capture the "feeling" of this beginning. These leaves are the foundation, a silent, silver-toned geometry unfolding from the center. There is a specific beauty in this stage of the life cycle, where the plant is still gathering its strength, and the story is all about the promise of what is yet to come.
