The Heart of Wharf Street, Maryborough

Description

I stood before these buildings and felt the weight of the years etched into the timber and stone. This isn't just a street corner to me; it’s a conversation between the industrial grit of the K. Meyer & Co. workshop and the stoic elegance of the grander neighbor beside it. Tucked in the middle is the Waterside Workers' Hall, a simple timber structure that stands as a sanctuary for the history of the men who worked this port. I wanted to capture the feeling of these quiet sentinels—the way they stand together, weathered but proud, holding onto the stories of the people who once filled these spaces with life.
