Seeds of the Shallows

There is a profound, fleeting stillness that belongs only to the earliest hours of the morning. Walking along the lagoon's edge, I watched as the first touch of daylight casts a brilliant glaze over the fine, skeletal branches and the tiny seeds still clinging to them.
