Rhythms of the Bay

I never go out with a rigid plan to document a scene; instead, I simply keep my eyes open and let the landscape show me its stories. Walking along the Urangan Pier, I was captivated by this group moving across the vast low tide flats of Hervey Bay. There was a beautiful, collective rhythm to their steps—each person moving at their own pace, yet completely connected by the open space and the shimmering water. My post-processing was all about bringing out that connection, stripping away the color to let the stark, dramatic silhouettes and the metallic glare of the wet sand speak for themselves.
