Morning at the Portside Restaurant, Customs House

Description

Standing before the old Customs House as the morning light settled in, the day was already quietly underway. Though the doors had opened at 7:00 am and the first guests were tucked away enjoying breakfast, I took my time to frame out the bustle and isolate the grand archways. There is a wonderful contrast in knowing that behind these calm, shadowy pillars, the warm rhythm of daily conversation was already flowing—seamlessly bridging the heavy maritime history of the port with the gentle, living present.
